Peach season is one of my favorite things about summer! Not only are they juicy and delicious to just grab and eat, but there are so many yummy recipes where peaches are the star!
When fresh peaches are available, I buy them up and make an instant plan on how I'm going to cook and bake with them. My family loves this fresh peach cobbler after dinner, and I do, too!
It's also a great idea to freeze in-season peaches so that you'll have fresh fruit in the fall and winter months! You can even use some of them to make a creamy peach smoothie. Is there anything better than having that sweet fruit flavor during the middle of winter?!

To make your own homemade peach simple syrup, all you need are water, honey, and ripe peaches.
Making the peach lemonade is just as simple as mixing fresh lemon juice and cold water with the simple syrup.
You can use regular sugar in place of honey if you prefer to sweeten lemonade that way. Coconut sugar, agave syrup, and stevia are also good substitutes for honey.
If you would prefer not to make your own peach simple syrup, you can purchase it at your grocery store or online. However, in my opinion, nothing beats the flavor of making it yourself!
Add extra flavor to the drink with fresh mint sprigs or fresh berries. You can infuse a large pitcher of this sweet summer beverage with fruit! You could also make this lovely lavender lemonade as a fun alternative.
Make a peach lemonade cocktail by adding a shot of rum or vodka to your glass. You can also make sparkling peach lemonade by using soda water or a wine spritzer!

- Make the peach syrup first. Slice the ripe peaches and put them into a small sauce pan.

2. Add the water and honey to the pot and stir it up.

3. Simmer the ingredients for about 10 minutes.

4. Then, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the skins and pulp from the syrup.

5. Once the syrup is done, it's time to make the lemonade. Juice several lemons-you'll need at least one cup of juice. Then, add that lemon juice to a large pitcher.

6. Add the water and peach syrup, then stir the ingredients together until thoroughly incorporated.

Refrigerate until ready to serve, or serve immediately over ice!
Madison's Tips for Success:
I've tested this recipe and have successfully made it many times. Use my tips to ensure that it turns out perfectly for you, too!
- Use filtered water to ensure the best flavor for your fresh lemonade. However, tap water will work if that is all you have. Just be sure to refrigerate it so that it is extra cold before you mix everything together!
- Before making the lemonade, strain the lemon juice through a fine-mesh strainer to remove seeds and pulp.
- Have leftovers? Store homemade lemonade in the refrigerator for up to a week. It is best stored with a lid on, but that is not required.

Fun Serving Ideas
For a fun treat, add the peach lemonade to popsicle molds and freeze it. An easy and simple way to make the perfect frozen treat for summer!
Recipe FAQs
Although purees and syrups are not the same things, they can be used interchangeably in this recipe. If you use peach puree, you may need to adjust how much honey or sugar you use. For best results, make sure the puree is strained and that chunks have been removed.
You can absolutely replace fresh peaches with frozen peaches in the simple syrup recipe.
Don't plan on serving it right away? No problem! Just keep it in a pitcher in the fridge until you're ready to serve. Don't store it with ice in the pitcher because the ice will melt and water it down.
Serving Ideas
We like to serve the peach drink with summer meals like lemon chicken thighs and grilled chicken burgers.
As a party drink, it goes well with appetizers like pizza muffins and tomato tart.
Honestly, a glass of peach lemonade will brighten up any meal!
