Making lemonade is quite simple and way more delicious than store-bought. Adding in seasonal flavors like peach and blackberry makes a simple lemonade taste and feel a whole lot fancier!
Peach and blackberry are the ultimate flavor combination. Even though blackberries can sometimes be sour, when peaches are in season they are so sweet that they need a little tartness to balance it out. Add it all to zesty lemonade and you have a delicious summer drink!

Ingredients
These everyday ingredients come together to make this peach blackberry lemonade recipe. It starts with a homemade simple syrup then we get into creating the lemonade.
Peaches and blackberries are most flavorful when eating them raw so it's not always easy to lock those flavors into a drink. By creating a simple syrup to add to the lemonade, you can lock those flavors in better and also add sweetness to the lemons at the same time.
Here's what you need to make the lemonade.
- Peaches: Fresh or frozen both work here! Nectarines and apricots would also be good here.
- Blackberries: Tart blackberries balance out the sweetness of the peaches and syrup. You can add any other fresh berries or fruit that you like, too. Blueberries, strawberries, apricots and raspberries would be delicious.
- Lemon juice: If possible, use fresh lemon juice. Bottled concentrate can be a little bit too sour and cloying.
- Peach blackberry simple syrup: You can make this yourself with water, sugar and more blackberries and peach slices.
If peaches and/or blackberries are out of season, using frozen fruit is a perfect substitute! But do try to use fresh-squeezed lemon juice, if possible, for the best flavor.

How to Make Peach Blackberry Lemonade
First, we've got to make the peach blackberry syrup with fresh fruit. It works perfectly for infusing some extra sweetness and signature summer flavor into this homemade blackberry lemonade.
There's a reason it's called simple syrup - it really is SO easy to make. You may not realize the power of simple syrups in cocktails or other beverages, but it really is simple: It is literally sugar and water, plus any add-ins that fit with your drink. As in my peach sangria, you'll find a simple syrup can be amazing for locking in flavor.
- To make peach blackberry simple syrup, grab a small pot and toss in few fresh or frozen peach slices, fresh blackberries, water and a bit of sugar. Let it warm up over low to medium heat for around 10 minutes, until it starts to simmer. If you want more flavor and color, mash the fruit a little with a fork, potato masher or wooden spoon as it cooks. (Strain if desired, but you can throw them right into the lemonade.) Let cool.
- Once you have the syrup, you can make the lemonade! Juice the lemons and add juice to a pitcher. Add cold water and stir to mix. Add remaining peaches and blackberries to pitcher. Once syrup is cool, add to pitcher and stir to combine. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving, then pour into glasses over ice cubes.
Extra syrup? You can store flavored syrup in a mason jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. If it ever has a cloudy look or odor, throw it away and make a new batch.
Tips for Success
This fruity homemade lemonade is perfect for any occasion, whether it's summer or not.
- You'll definitely want to multiply the recipe a few times if you're expecting a crowd! It's so good.
- Add a little bit of club soda to make a fancy beverage called an Italian Soda!
- To enjoy it as a cocktail, pour in 1 cup vodka, or 1-2 ounces per glass. Garnish it with extra fruit and lemon slices.

What to Serve with Peach Blackberry Lemonade
Serve up this peach blackberry lemonade with all your summer faves. It'd be great for a cookout with homemade burgers or BBQ chicken sandwiches.
You could also have a pitcher on the drink table for a baby shower, bridal shower or housewarming party. Serve it with appetizers like pepper jelly and cream cheese or a quick batch of crostini.
Anything blackberry peach would go well! For dessert, make one of my favorites peach crisp or mixed berry cobbler. Or just enjoy fresh peaches with ice cream and a little blackberry syrup on top if you like!
FAQ
Yes! Frozen peaches and blackberries work great. You don't even have to thaw them!
Not necessarily. If you like a pulpy, rustic lemonade, you can leave it in. For a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
Serve it in a pitcher or drink dispenser with sliced peaches and blackberries for garnish. Add ice just before serving so it stays nice and cold without getting watered down.
