We have all been in that situation where somehow guests end up invited over unexpectedly. I am a firm believer in gathering around the table and I don’t believe that it always has to be perfect. But, it can be really stressful when you feel obligated to provide some sort of food and you haven’t been able to go to the store to pick up something quick and easy, even if it’s just an appetizer while you are chatting. With a little creativity it’s easy to come up with a quick appetizer to share with your guests and you might have everything in your cabinets and fridge already!

Easy Appetizers

We always have crackers of some kind in our cabinet and I love to keep RITZ? crackers around because they are so light and easy to add your own toppings to create a delicious snack. I love coming up with different topping ideas for RITZ? that don’t require me to go to the store.

This is also a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen. They’ll love creating their own towers stacked with pepperonis and cheese slices! You can create a variety of these snack options using both sweet and savory flavors found in your kitchen.

I decided to make three variations: pepperoni and cheddar cheese, goat cheese and strawberries, and cream cheese and apple! Each provides such a unique flavor and these light snacks are perfect for an appetizer or just for an afternoon chat with guests!

If you don’t have these ingredients at your house, you can easily find them all at your local Walmart!

Great ideas, Madison! I had never thought of putting strawberries on a Ritz. I LOVE goat cheese, so I need to try that ASAP!

I’ve done the cheese, crackers and pepperoni before but I like to put them in the oven for a few minutes to let the cheese melt if it’s just my husband and I snacking. 🙂
