Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Since there is no added sugar in this easy popsicle recipe, it's perfect for the whole family! Way better than the processed junk in the freezer section at grocery store.
- The health benefits of watermelon are great. Watermelon is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, and is a fabulous way to stay hydrated.
- You only need a few minutes to throw these together and put them in the freezer. Plus, they're great to make ahead of time and store in the freezer until needed!

Ingredients
Grab these simple ingredients at your local farmers market or grocery store! Or simply use your leftover watermelon and make sure you've got these other ingredients on hand:
- seedless watermelon chunks
- crushed pineapple
- vanilla Greek yogurt
- heavy cream
- lime juice

Substitutes and Variations
Instead of lime juice, add a little lime zest or thinly sliced limes to your fresh watermelon popsicles or even swap it out for lemon juice. You can also make strawberry watermelon popsicles by adding in thin slices of strawberry or strawberry puree to this easy recipe.
To make a dairy free version, use coconut milk and/or coconut cream in place of the heavy cream. Swap the Greek yogurt for a dairy-free coconut milk or almond milk yogurt.
You can use plain Greek yogurt, or a different flavor, instead of vanilla Greek yogurt. Watermelon is pretty sweet, but you could add a honey or maple syrup drizzle for a natural sweetener.
Use whatever fruit juice or puree you want in this recipe. Strawberry, mango, honeydew melon, etc. Instead of fresh watermelon, you can use watermelon juice too.

How to Make Watermelon Popsicles
Follow these simple steps to make the perfect frozen taste of summer!

Using a high-powered blender (affiliate), puree all of the ingredients together. You can also use a food processor.

Blend until smooth.
Next, fill your reusable popsicle molds with the watermelon mixture.

Next, cover (if your mold has one) and add popsicle sticks.
Place the filled popsicle mold into the freezer.

Freeze the fresh watermelon popsicles for at least 6 hours, but overnight is best.

Remove the popsicles from the molds when you're ready to serve!
Hot Tip: If you can't get your popsicles to pop out of the molds right away, allow them to thaw for about 5-7 minutes and you should be able to get them out.
How to Store Homemade Watermelon Popsicles
Place extra popsicles into freezer bags or airtight container and store in the freezer for 2-3 months. You could also individually wrap each one in plastic wrap and store in the freezer.
Eat each popsicle before they become freezer burned! Don't worry about eating them too quickly. They're so simple to make, you can just whip up another batch.

Tips for Success
- Don't have reusable popsicle molds? You can use mini paper cups or muffin tins and popsicle sticks.
- If there is excess pulp in your watermelon puree mixture, strain it through a fine mesh strainer before adding it to the popsicle mold.
- Be sure to blend the watermelon mixture well before adding it to the molds. You won't want major chunks of fruit leftover and making your popsicles all lumpy.
- For best results, choose a good watermelon. A not-so-great melon will take some of the sweetness out of this watermelon popsicle recipe.
- Taste the mixture before freezing. If it's not sweet enough, add some honey or agave nectar.

FAQ
Cubes of fresh watermelon actually freeze really well since it's mainly water! That means that this mixture of tasty summer ingredients will create a fabulous creamy popsicle that freezes perfectly.
Yes, but you'll need to remove the seeds from a seeded watermelon before pureeing it in a blender or food processor. If you do not remove the seeds, it could create a grainy texture in the watermelon puree mixture. Your best bet is to purchase seedless watermelon.
