Three Generation Lifestyle Photos

It's no secret to anyone who knows me that I love pictures. Wedding photography was our number one priority and when Greyson was born, I knew he would grow up with a camera in his face all the time. I remember laughing at myself for how many photos I had taken of our dog Azi when she was a puppy, thinking that it would only get worse with a child involved. Sure enough, I think I have thousands of photos on my phone of Greyson growing up the last few months and have no plans to stop the photos anytime soon.

Still, there is just something special about having professional photos taken. With my background in photography, I know the importance in having high quality photos taken from time to time. It's an experience that I think everyone should have whether it's taking Christmas family photos, an anniversary session or just a casual family photo day.

For Mother's Day this year, I gave my mom, grandmother and myself the present of a photoshoot with local Arizona photographer Let Me See You Sparkle Photography. I wanted it to be a surprise, even at the risk of my mom and grandma being mad at me. But I didn't want either of them to have to stress out about looking just right or have either of them argue with me about taking the photos. So I told them we were going somewhere for Mother's Day and when we got there it began to click for my mom but my grandma still didn't quite realize what we were doing there.

Chrissy was so fun to shoot with and had all of us in good spirits and feeling natural! I was just about to die waiting for the photos (even though she delivered them so quickly) and after I got them back, I couldn't stop thinking about how Greyson had already begun to change from the photos. That is exactly why it's so important to me to capture these fleeting moments.

I really loved having these special moments with Greyson at this age captured in photos. I know he won't always need me like he does now so I am so thankful to bottle that up in a photo to be able to look back on. I can't wait to be able to show him pictures of him as a baby being held by his Mimi and Gigi.

If you don't take family photos every few years, I highly recommend it. The last time my mom and I had photos taken together was when I was in high school so I knew we were way over due for a few professional quality photos. Working with Chrissy was the perfect solution for us! I can't wait to retake photos like this in a few years with the whole family.
