Greyson's Tribal Themed First Birthday Party

Published: Nov 8, 2016 Β· Last Updated: Nov 19, 2018

Two weeks ago, we celebrated Greyson turning one! I can't believe how quickly this past year went by (I think that's just a thing you have to say as a mom).

This party would not have happened without?Moelleux Events, Carrie Hasson Photography, and Top Notch Rentals. I am so grateful for all of their help and support!

I'll just let the photos speak for themselves on this one!

It wouldn't be a birthday party if the one year old birthday boy didn't cry. The story behind this one is quite funny though. I found this rocking horse on an online yard sale group and my mom had to have it for Greyson. She bought it two months before his birthday and hid it in the garage so that he wouldn't see it and would be?surprised?on his birthday. Well, he sure was surprised and frightened and made us all laugh when he hated the horse. Good news is now he loves it.?

For those interested in the recipe for the cake, we used this no refined sugar added cake recipe! A trick for all mamas, put pieces of your baby's favorite food (blueberries in this case) on the back of the cake to help the babies get started on the cake. They'll taste the icing and understand their supposed to eat the cake.?

Having help to put this party on was the best decision I've ever made. With all of the home renovations going on right now plus working, it would have been too, too much for me to try to plan this party. I was so lucky to meet and team up with Melissa from?Moelleux Events?to help bring the vision I had for this party to life. Also, having a photographer there was also the best decision. Thanks to this team I was able to actually breathe and try to enjoy the party instead of running around like a mad woman like I otherwise would have.
