This quick Chicken Broccoli Orzo Casserole is the perfect weeknight dinner solution that you can throw together in a hurry. It has everything you need in it: orzo pasta, broccoli, feta cheese and chicken. It's made with cream of celery soup, broth and spices to bring everything together in 30 minutes!
A friend recently said to me, "Is it lame that I just want things that can just be mixed together and be done with it?"
My friend, it certainly is not lame.
There are definitely days where I?enjoy the process of bringing a meal together. Even if it's a kind of lengthy process.
But there are also, a lot, of days where I just want things I can throw together in one dish and be done with it.
That notion definitely inspired this meal. And so did this recipe I shared a few months back for Chicken Wild Rice Casserole. I loved how easy that recipe is to just pull together on a whim.
But this recipe? It's even?easier.?You use?StarKist Chicken Creations in it to make this one of those meals where you literally dump the ingredients in, give it a stir, and bake. SO EASY. And there's no prep work for the chicken, you literally tear open the package and dump it into the casserole dish to mix with the other ingredients.
I've heard of StarKist Tuna and Salmon Creations before, but hadn't ever used their chicken version before. It was perfect to try with this idea I had for a broccoli orzo casserole.
We?love orzo because it's such a fun in between for rice and pasta and it cooks so quickly.
I was curious how it would fare in a casserole like this, letting the liquid in the casserole be what it cooks in. It worked great! Add some broccoli with StarKist? Chicken Creations? Zesty Lemon Pepper and you have a delicious pasta casserole that the whole family is going to love.
Anytime there's pasta involved, my toddler is guaranteed to love it and eat up every bite.?This?Chicken Broccoli Orzo Casserole is no different.
