Coffee Creamer Fudge recipe

When it comes to the holiday season, homemade fudge is at the top of my list of favorite desserts. Growing up, my mom always made classic chocolate fudge with nuts over the holidays.

When I learned how to make peanut butter fudge, it felt like the door was opened to making all sorts of flavors of homemade fudge.

There have been many times that I've wanted to make a special treat for a celebration or just because but haven't had the time to make something fancy.

This Caramel Macchiato Coffee Creamer Fudge recipe comes together quickly, so I can always plan to make time for cooking a batch of homemade fudge.

This go around, I had fun experimenting with using coffee creamer for part of the base of the fudge. There are so many ways to make fudge out there, but I wanted to make something that really captured the flavor combination I was going for.

Fudge Ingredients

This coffee creamer fudge is made with:

You can use your favorite flavored coffee creamer if you like! I am partial to pumpkin spice coffee creamer in the fall and gingerbread creamer in the winter.

You also don't have to use the single-serve creamer cups - you can use the kind from the grocery store that comes in a liter container.

Caramel topping ingredients

Then of course, it wouldn't be a caramel macchiato-themed dessert without a classic caramel topping. That's the best part of a caramel macchiato from the coffee shop!

I have loved making homemade caramel and using it as a part of my dessert recipes lately, like on these rum cakes or even a simple apple crisp.

Homemade caramel is so easy to make and goes perfectly with the idea of homemade fudge.

For the caramel layer, you will need:

How to Make Caramel Macchiato Coffee Creamer Fudge

Here are step-by-step instructions for how to make this easy fudge with coffee creamer:

Various baking ingredients on a countertop, including white chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, sugar, a stick of butter, coffee creamer fudge mixture in a measuring cup, and salt in small bowls.

First, measure and set out all of your ingredients before you begin.

Then, line an 8x8" baking dish with parchment paper.

On the stove, melt butter. Then add in the sugar, evaporated milk and creamer. Whisk to combine.

Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.

Once the liquid is boiling, set timer for 6 minutes and let it continue boiling. Stir every 30 seconds.

Then remove from heat. Add in the marshmallows and vanilla extract.

Stir to melt marshmallows. (I like to switch to a flexible silicone spatula at this point in the recipe.)

A pile of white chocolate chips sits on top of a creamy coffee creamer fudge mixture in a mixing bowl.

Add in your white chocolate chips and stir until melted.

Three-step process: pressed dough in a pan, caramel-coffee creamer fudge sauce being stirred in a pot, and this rich caramel poured over the dough in a lined baking pan.

Pour mixture into baking pan and let cool on the counter. Meanwhile, make your caramel topping.

Measure out your ingredients for the caramel. Add sugar to a small saucepan and turn heat to medium.

Using a silicone spatula, stir around the sugar constantly. Clumps will begin to form and then sugar will begin to melt down to be a smooth, clear liquid. You'll see the sugar pulling away from the pan as you stir.

Allow the sugar to melt for just a few minutes, then remove from heat and add in butter. Whisk until completely combined and the sugar is starting to have an amber color to it. Then add in heavy cream and whisk completely.

Return to heat and let caramel bubble and smooth out for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and pour over the cooled fudge.

Let the fudge and caramel cool completely before cutting into it and serving. You should be able to make about 32 pieces, but you may get more or less depending on how big you cut the pieces and how big your pan is.

Can you make homemade fudge with coffee creamer?

Yes! I found it worked best to do ¾ cup evaporated milk with ¼ cup creamer. You can use any coffee creamer that you like.

  1. Thank you for this easy recipe. I did not even put the top layer on because the first was so good I was afraid I would mess it up. I did see salt was mentioned in instructions but just the word and not how much. of it. Still so good. Actually addicting.

    1. I know many other recipes use marshmallow cream but I haven't tried it. Let me know if it works for you!
