Stir all ingredients (1 cup sour cream, 2 tablespoons dried onion flakes, ¾ teaspoon onion powder, ⅛ teaspoon celery seed, ¼ teaspoon paprika, ¾ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, ¼ teaspoon dried parsley, 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt, & 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce) together in a serving bowl. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Notes
For the best flavor, refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
Sour cream can be substituted with plain, full-fat Greek yogurt
To convert this recipe into a French onion dip, substitute ½ packet of dry French onion soup mix for the seasonings, and stir in ¼ cup caramelized onions.
Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator and use within 7 days.
Because sour cream is perishable, don't let the dip sit out of the fridge for more than 3 hours. Or, place the serving bowl over a larger bowl filled with ice to keep the dip cold.
