In a bowl or directly in your greased baking dish, toss blueberries with brown sugar, flour, lemon zest, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. Then transfer to the greased baking dish if you mixed in a bowl.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the fruit is bubbly.
Meanwhile, prepare the biscuit topping. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt in a medium bowl. Stir in the cream until incorporated and it reaches a doughy consistency.
Spoon equal scoops of biscuit dough over on top of berries. Sprinkle biscuits with a pinch of extra sugar.
Bake for 22-25 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.
