Patriotic Triple Berry Spritzer

Description

With summer just around the corner, it’s time for light, sweet cocktails to ring in the season. Celebrate with this beautiful patriotic triple berry spritzer. Made with?a triple berry simple syrup, tequila and lemon lime soda it’s the perfect way to enjoy the summertime!


Ingredients

Triple Berry Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3?cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup?mixed berries

Triple Berry Spritzer

  • 1/2 cup of room temperature triple berry simple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of chilled lime juice
  • 1/2 cup chilled tequila
  • 1/2 cup chilled lemon lime soda
  • Fresh mixed berries, for garnish

Instructions

Triple Berry Simple Syrup

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine ingredients for syrup. Cook on medium until sugar is dissolved and berries have cooked down, about 5 minutes or so.
  2. Remove pan from heat and allow to cool to room temperature
  3. Strain simple syrup mixture to remove berries into a bowl through a fine mesh strainer.

Cocktail

  1. In a cocktail shaker, mix together triple berry simple syrup, tequila, lemon lime soda and lime. Shake lightly. The soda will bubble over if you shake too vigorously.
  2. Pour over a glass of ice into your favorite cocktail glass or stemless wine glass.
  3. Top with a handful of mixed berries and enjoy!

Notes

Be sure to let syrup cool to room temperature before straining.
