A few weeks ago before fall weather really set in (read: it was 90 degrees still), Steven, Azi, our friend Haley and I took a trip to a local North Carolina apple orchard. Picking apples has been on my fall bucket list for some time and I was so excited. Haley and I were joking that there would probably be one tree at the orchard and we’d be disappointed. Disappointment would have been pretty easy though because we were ecstatic about this little adventure.
Our adventure was definitely interesting, but there was more than one tree, luckily. The interesting part was that when we pulled up to the orchard, it was legitimately someone’s house. This place?had a website and everything so we were not expecting it to just be a part of someone’s front yard.
When I called to make sure we could bring Azi, the guy warned me that they were running low, so we were worried. We joked that we would love to see the orchard when it wasn’t low because there was an abundance of apples to go around. We each bought a 10 pound bucket (which cost a whole $7 by the way!) and there plenty more to pick from!
It was so fun to have Azi there with us too, I just love places that are dog friendly! Azi, of course, had no interest in apple picking through she did try to eat the squished ones on the ground. She just loves to be outside and we love having her out on adventures with us!
