If you use Bloglovin‘ as a feed reader for blogs, then you know how confusing and disorganized Bloglovin’ can get. Sometimes it’s really difficult to find the blogs you want to read instead of sorting through blogs you occasionally like to read.
What if I told you that you can organize your Bloglovin’ and show only the blogs you want to read at a certain time? It’s your lucky day because there is a way and it’s super easy! If you’ve noticed, whenever you follow a new blog on Bloglovin’, they get thrown into your list of blog that you read on the right hand side of your reader.
If you go to the top of your Bloglovin’ feed and click on your photo, you’ll see a drop down with “Edit blogs you follow.” When you click that you’ll open up a new page with all of the blogs you follow listed. From there, you’ll be able to create group, organize blogs into those groups and make your life so much?easier!
Above is my list of uncategorized blogs. Since the rest of my blogs are already in groups, these are the ones I have left to organize. When you click “Change Group” you’ll have a dropdown menu with all of the groups you already have. There’s also an option to add a new group as you’re organizing that way.
Being able to organize my blogs has really helped me to stay on top of reading my sponsors’ blogs, must reads and leaving blogs that are more for inspiration for when I have more time to just browse through blogs.
Here’s a look at some of my categories for blogs. This shows you a few things: 1) I follow way too many blogs 2) I’m a little bit weirdly organized about the blogs I read and 3) there is a way to make sense of all the blogs you follow!
So there you go! It’s that easy to get your Bloglovin’ posts organized and simplified! It’s also a great way to go through the blogs you follow now and maybe unfollow some that you don’t ever read. Although hopefully mine isn’t one of them! 🙂 If you don’t follow me on Bloglovin‘, let’s change that!
How to you keep up with the blogs you read? Do you organize them on Bloglovin’?
Be sure to stop by and say hello to this month’s sponsor!

I love all the different categories you have! I bet that took forever to set up. I have just have a list for current sponsors and for my favorite bloggers. I should create more lists, because I never look at my main Bloglovin’ feed. There are just wayyyyy too many blogs that I follow.
Becca Davis says
Oh my gosh this is amazing…I’ve never thought of organizing the blogs I read like that on Bloglovin!
Madison says
Even if you just have one folder for must reads, it really helps!
Lindsey Carr says
Maybe I should try that…it seems that everyone uses Bloglovin’, but I’ve never liked it. I use Feedly & love it!
Madison says
I’ve known some people who don’t like it because it’s kind of disorganized, but I think once you set up some categories, it really helps! I personally love Bloglovin but I’ve never really used any other feed reader!

Hahahaha. “Good land of mercy”- you are too much 🙂 Yes, I do have WAY too many categories, but I’ve added some along the way because I didn’t have one for a specific category and things got lost. But I totally agree, I had no idea this was such a needed post for so many people. I asked around the Peony Project to see if it was too obvious of a post, but apparently it wasn’t!
Amy Hodgdon says
Yay! This post is awesome!
I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t organize my blog feed! I have to keep things in separate categories! But you have inspired me to make more/more specific categories!
Thanks lady!

That’s great Amy! I feel like I have a few too many categories but it’s really worked well for me!

Thanks for sharing this tutorial, Madison! You are SUPER organized… and I kind of wish I could let you take control of my Bloglovin and organize it. I’ll be real: it stresses me out and is utterly cluttered and kind of a disaster, so I’m gonna follow these tips and hopefully whip it into shape. 😉
Madison says
It definitely takes some time to get a system in place, but once you do it’s so helpful! I hope you can get your bloglovin looking organized :))
Erin says
Thanks, Madison! It’ll be a mess for a while, but hopefully, this tutorial will help me whip it into shape!

I just started using categories on bloglovin! And I love it! I really love that you talked about it, because I think it’s so important to stay organized with blog reading–a huge part of being a blogger! 🙂
Madison says
It really is! Especially to help remind yourself of blogs you want to read at least weekly!

You are soo organized! I’m envious! I have SOME (and some being like 5%) organized in groups but the others I don’t. I’m going to spend a little time this weekend doing just that!
Madison says
Oh girl, don’t let me fool you! I may be organized on Bloglovin, but not in everything! I hope you were able to spend some time organizing this weekend 🙂

This is sooo useful. I follow a lot of blogs on bloglovin’ and find I’m flicking through most of the time and not really bothered on a daily basis! Definitely going to try this out. Thank you x

Who doesn’t follow too many blogs? It’s so easy to hit that follow button. Every few months I go through and remove blogs that don’t speak to me. That can be hard, especially if you have been reading for a long time, but if you don’t enjoy it, why clutter your feed?
Madison says
I need to go through and declutter more often! But you’re right, if it doesn’t inspire you or you don’t enjoy it, you’re just going to mark the blogs as read every time!

I feel ya girl! I didn’t even mention how many blogs I follow, but it’s a LOT! Having a folder for my sponsors is a LIFE saver!
Madison says
I normally reassess whether I should be following a blog once I’ve missed like a 5-7 posts. I’ll go back and look at their recent posts again and see if I have any interest in reading them. Because I’ve obviously forgotten about their blog for over a week!
Madison says
Hey, you’re clearly not alone! I have always done this so I didn’t know it wasn’t common knowledge. I hope this helps!!

Hah! I’m glad it helped. It would’ve taken over my afternoon too!
