How to Organize Blogs You Follow on Bloglovin’

Published: Sep 10, 2014 · Last Updated: Feb 4, 2022

If you use Bloglovin‘ as a feed reader for blogs, then you know how confusing and disorganized Bloglovin’ can get. Sometimes it’s really difficult to find the blogs you want to read instead of sorting through blogs you occasionally like to read.

How to organize blogs you follow on Bloglovin'.

What if I told you that you can organize your Bloglovin’ and show only the blogs you want to read at a certain time? It’s your lucky day because there is a way and it’s super easy! If you’ve noticed, whenever you follow a new blog on Bloglovin’, they get thrown into your list of blog that you read on the right hand side of your reader.

On Bloglovin, go to Edit Blogs I Follow to organize the blogs into groups.

If you go to the top of your Bloglovin’ feed and click on your photo, you’ll see a drop down with “Edit blogs you follow.” When you click that you’ll open up a new page with all of the blogs you follow listed. From there, you’ll be able to create group, organize blogs into those groups and make your life so much?easier!

Change blog groups on Bloglovin to categorize blogs by niche.

Above is my list of uncategorized blogs. Since the rest of my blogs are already in groups, these are the ones I have left to organize. When you click “Change Group” you’ll have a dropdown menu with all of the groups you already have. There’s also an option to add a new group as you’re organizing that way.

Being able to organize my blogs has really helped me to stay on top of reading my sponsors’ blogs, must reads and leaving blogs that are more for inspiration for when I have more time to just browse through blogs.

Organizing your blogs on Bloglovin into groups is an easy way to stay organized!

Here’s a look at some of my categories for blogs. This shows you a few things: 1) I follow way too many blogs 2) I’m a little bit weirdly organized about the blogs I read and 3) there is a way to make sense of all the blogs you follow!

So there you go! It’s that easy to get your Bloglovin’ posts organized and simplified! It’s also a great way to go through the blogs you follow now and maybe unfollow some that you don’t ever read. Although hopefully mine isn’t one of them! 🙂 If you don’t follow me on Bloglovin‘, let’s change that!

How to you keep up with the blogs you read? Do you organize them on Bloglovin’?

Be sure to stop by and say hello to this month’s sponsor!

It’s a good category to keep an eye on certain blogs I might be interested in sponsoring. That way I know if they have any sales or anything!

Exactly!! I like having categories so I can make sure even if I have a little bit of time to read that I’m not searching through them!

I think if you organize them you’ll definitely like using Bloglovin’ more! But yes, it’s similarly overwhelming like Twitter!

Haha, you follow a lot of blogs! As I mentioned on Twitter I really simplified my Bloglovin’ feed and only follow about 10 blogs now, they are mostly ones that post daily but are so popular they don’t respond to comments. I don’t like to read blogs that I comment on in Bloglovin cause it involves an extra step since I use Bloglovin on my phone but like to write comments on my computer. Call me weird. That all being said, I didn’t realize that you could organize blogs so now maybe I’ll add a few more in 🙂

Ahh! I wish they made this more obvious. I have preferred Feedly for its organizational tools, but Bloglovin’ may have just taken it up a notch. And ? I am totally as weirdly organized as you!

Right now the only group I have is fave blogs, but even that is becoming too much. I have too many that I once followed for a giveaway or on a whim, that I don’t read or connect with anymore, and my feed is so overwhelming. I need to find some time to get it cleaned up. I love your category idea–I may give that a try.

Thank you for this post! I knew there must be a way to organise things on there, but I could not see it anywhere. I’m just glad I found it when I only have a couple of hundred blogs to organise…

Thank you so much! I just discovered Bloglovin’ yesterday. I wanted one place for all the blogs I was following, but it felt like I had 20 different spots. Then I started following everyone, but there was no rhyme or reason to the feed and it would have driven me nuts and wasted a lot of time. I checked out some other blogs, but they were nowhere near as helpful. Thank you! Now that I’m organized, I feel much more calm and productive.
