Arizona Fall Bucket List

Published: Sep 25, 2015 · Last Updated: Feb 4, 2022

Spring and summer have always been my favorite seasons because I don’t like being cold, but over the last few years, fall has given those seasons a run for their money. Fall is so fun and filled with tons of fun activities. Being in Arizona though, it’ll be a few more months before we’re seeing true fall temperatures, so my fall bucket list looks totally different than it did last year. I have to be a lot more creative with experiencing fall since we won’t be having the typical fall we are used to. Here are a few of the things I’m looking forward to doing or seeing this fall!

Drive through Arizona mountains

A few weeks ago Steven and I drove to Albuquerque and drove through the mountains to get there and it was so beautiful! I definitely want to go back in a few more weeks to just drive through and get a taste of a true fall!

Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

Albuquerque is known for it’s Balloon Fiesta every year and now that we are close again, I can’t wait to go. Check out our maternity photos shot with the balloons!

Caramel Candy Corn Popcorn

While I was at Target, I got sucked into the dollar section and saw a bag of candy corn and the first thing that popped into my head was making a batch of caramel candy corn popcorn. I can’t wait to share the recipe with you guys next week!

pumpkin-spice-latte

All the pumpkin recipes

I haven’t gone crazy yet but I can feel it brewing. I’ve already switched to drinking my homemade pumpkin spice lattes but I have plans for pumpkin scones, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cake, pumpkin everything. And I don’t care that it’s still in the 90’s in Phoenix. Pumpkin is still delicious.

fall-baby-shower-welcome

Fall themed baby shower

My mom is throwing me a baby shower in a few weeks that is going to be fall themed! We’ll be having fun fall decorations and yummy recipes as the last chance to celebrate little Grey before he’s born! it’ll be really fun to celebrate the cooler weather and enjoy the company of our family who lives here! Update: See the full fall themed baby shower here!

HAVE A BABY

This has nothing to do with fall but it’s still crazy to believe that I’ll be having a baby in this season. I never really imagined myself having a fall baby but now my only concern is whether or not he’ll be born on Halloween. Fingers crossed that he isn’t!

Update: Catch up on Greyson’s birth story here.

What’s on your fall bucket list? Do you live somewhere known for its fall activities?

Ok, I’m going to come spend Fall in Arizona now! You have so many fun things planned. A hot air balloon festival is something I would love to do. There was going to be one here earlier this year but it rained too much and they had to cancel it 🙁 we were so sad! But hopefully they will try again next year.

Pumpkin in all the things! Love it. I just discovered Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk at Whole Foods. Ah-mazing. BUT, not quite as amazing as welcoming your little one this fall 🙂 Congratulations Madison!!

I’ve traveled to AZ the past two years in mid-October for work and you’re right, it definitely does not feel like the typical fall that everyone thinks of. It’s almost BABY TIME!

And I don’t know exactly when your due date is but I think Halloween would be the coolest birthday! Costume party birthday party ever year? I live in the White Mountains near Pinetop-Lakeside. We had our annual Fall Festival this past weekend. You should try to come up next year for that. Also the leaves are changing colors right now, so the drive toward Spingerville from Pinetop is beautiful.
